gaireb\u00e9 10.000 participants seguits durant 18 anys ha demostrat que abandonar el tabac, encara que sigui als 50, 60 o 70 anys, ajuda a frenar el deteriorament de la mem\u00f2ria i de la de fumar, altres van continuar.<br \/>A tots se\u2019ls van avaluar dues funcions clau: la mem\u00f2ria (recordar cites, converses, llistes) i la flu\u00efdesa verbal (trobar paraules amb rapidesa), habilitats que solen deteriorar-se amb el pas del temps.<br \/><br \/>Abans de deixar de fumar, ambd\u00f3s grups mostraven un deteriorament similar. Tanmateix, despr\u00e9s d\u2019abandonar el tabac, els exfumadors empitjoraven m\u00e9s lentament.<br \/>Aix\u00f2 significa que el dany no es reverteix del tot, per\u00f2 s\u00ed es frena la p\u00e8rdua d\u2019agilitat mental.<br \/>En la pr\u00e0ctica, la difer\u00e8ncia pot ser passar d\u2019oblidar cites \u201csempre\u201d a fer-ho nom\u00e9s de tant en
